Just yesterday MORNING as I sat in slower than normal traffic, feeling frustrated, once again I realized the gift of gratitude. As I passed the source of the delay, it hit me when I saw an ambulance and a stretcher lying next to a car. I thought to myself “wow, here I am frustrated about a relatively minor delay and whoever was in this accident could be seriously injured or even deceased.” Gratitude.
Just yesterday AFTERNOON as I sat in slower than normal traffic, I remembered gratitude. In nearly the exact same spot, except on the other side of the highway, a scene from another major car accident. What are the odds? There are no coincidences, just opportunities to pay attention. Gratitude.
Just this morning after I finished my spin class at the gym, my friend told me she would be having surgery Monday morning to treat skin cancer. Gratitude.
Gratitude for every moment this life has to offer.
Gratitude for every opportunity to be kind to a stranger.
Gratitude for the laughter and love present in every friendship and relationship.
Gratitude for the gifts I have been given to share with the world.
Gratitude for an accident or health scare that reminds me of the importance of gratitude.
Peace and blessings to you!
