Honor Your Second New Year

Hi Ladies,

This month I celebrated my second new year – I had a wonderful birthday!

I spent some time with friends and family once again realizing the importance of love and healthy relationships. And despite my cousin’s smart-aleck comments, I chose NOT to worry about melting the birthday cake because of the number of candles.

Most everyone knows about New Year’s resolutions made at the end of the calendar year. I also choose to go through a similar process for my birthday as well. I use it as an opportunity to cleanse the old and open up to the new.

In particular, I released my attachment to certain goals. It’s great to have goals, however the healthiest approach for me is to allow things to fall into place without trying to control how things happen. I was reminded of the importance of surrendering just a couple weeks ago. Even though I have a timeline for some things, there is a bigger picture involved here that I must remember.

I wish all of you the best in releasing the old and expanding to receive the new blessings the universe has to offer!
